On-Site tree felling with our lead trainer Sascha

A few months ago, Duncan Hopgood one of our business development managers had a chat with Dave Overdyk the owner of a property in Beaconsfield. He’s renovating his property, the perimeter of his land was surrounded by a number of large pine trees. Dave wanted to have them felled as they posed a risk to his property.

Duncan, Dave and Sascha then planned 2 on-site activity days for a group of our trainees, in total Sascha his team and the trainees professionally felled around 32 trees. This project proved as a great experience for the group, plus the property owner Dave didn’t have to pay $1000’s for the work to be carried out.

It was also comforting to us, that for trees that we considered ‘high risk’ you were very hands on with the students, to see that close oversight you provided whilst still allowing the students to learn the practical aspects – and being able to strike the right balance – was quite impressive.
