AHC50524 – Diploma of Arboriculture#

Enrol now and gain the skills and knowledge to become a consulting arborist and tree manager. Graduates with this qualification assess trees and produce reports and documentation attesting to the health and risks related to trees.
This program is most suited to applicants who have completed a Certificate III or higher-level qualification in a related discipline and possess a minimum of 24 months’ relevant industry experience in vegetation management which has included the inspection/assessment and maintenance of trees.
Applicants must also have access to the internet and a laptop computer and be proficient in computer skills sufficient to conduct research and complete word-processed assignments, projects and reports and to enter data into an online portal.

Delivery Model
Duration: 18 months (34 training sessions – approx. 2 sessions per month (1 x full day and 1 x 3 hr tutorial), additional work to be completed between contact days and on-the-job).
Delivery Mode: Virtual classroom via Microsoft Teams and online via Catapult.
Training Location: Remote: Log-in via virtual classroom and online platform.
Assessment: Assignments to be completed and submitted via online platform.
Entry Requirements
To be selected for entry into AHC50524 Diploma of Arboriculture, applicants are required to complete a suitability review and a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) evaluation, prior to enrolment.
All applicants must have achieved the following units of competency or their equivalent prior to commencing this qualification:
- AHCARB314 Implement a tree maintenance program
- AHCARB316 Perform pruning operations
- AHCARB323 Identify trees
Training, RPL and assessment only pathways for these units of competency are available for eligible students.
Fees
This training may be subsidised by the NSW Government through NSW Smart and Skilled funding. The cost to complete the qualification is determined by your personal circumstances and availability of Smart and Skilled subsidies.
