Course Overview
The AHCSS00103 Basic Tree Worker Skill Set provides the basic skill and knowledge required to operate chainsaws to cut and trim felled trees, remove tree materials and control traffic in support of a ground-based arboricultural work team.

Who is this course designed for?
This skill set is for individuals wanting to enter the arboriculture industry with basic mechanical skills required to support ground based arboricultural work. These units of competency provide pathways into the Certificate II in Arboriculture and Certificate III in Arboriculture.
Entry requirements
To be selected for entry into the AHCSS00103 Basic Tree Worker Skill Set, applicants are required to complete a suitability review, a task participation and medical checklist and a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) evaluation, prior to enrolment.
